“Perfectly Currated To Bring Out The Best in Them!”
King’s Kid Preschool Programs
Each of our programs is developmentally appropriate, fun, inspiring kids to “love learning”, and suitable for a variety of learning styles and abilities. Each daily program includes learning through play, circle time with calendar/songs/stories/and learning about our thematic units, art activities, washroom breaks, snack time, table activities, and more. Potty training is not required. We have field trips and special guest visitors in each program – we add a few more with each age group.
2 Year Old Program
Children are a minimum of 19 months old upon entering this program. We work on speech/language, healthy communication skills, learning through play, and age appropriate academic skills and exposure to letters, numbers, shapes, and colours. Potty-training support is common in this class as children are very capable to learn; however, many are not yet potty-trained at this age.
The 2 yr old classes run on Tues & Thurs for 2 hours per class. This is a non-parented class; however, volunteers are welcome once all the children have settled into the class.

Potty-training support is also available.

Pre-Kindergarten Program
Children who are attending Kindergarten the following school year are in this program. They do NOT have to turn 4 before entering the program. They should enter in Sept and turn 4 or 5 throughout the year. Children improve on skills already learned and move on from letter recognition to letter sounds. Children are engaged in early literacy/writing/numeracy. There are regular gross motor activities, fun days, and special guests/field trips. They are prepared to move on to Kindergarten, socially, physically, and academically. We also have an annual trip to a kindergarten classroom at the end of the year to interact with the Kindergarten “buddies” and feel more comfortable with the next years schooling.
We offer all of our Pre-Kindergarten students a preschool screening for speech/language and motor skills. Our goal is to help children as they develop and prepare for a strong start to their Kindergarten year.
There are various class options for 4 year olds. Please see our registration form for all of your options (days/times/fees).

Preschool Screenings and Supports
King’s Kids Preschool is pleased to work alongside speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and behaviour specialists to give our students any needed supports to improve each child’s skills throughout the year.
We have 2 preschool screening times (for speech/language and fine motor skills) to assess students abilities based on their age in years and months. I encourage all parents to have their child attend the screening as it can help us all know how to best assist the children in their needs. This screening is for everyone, not just for parents who may have concerns. You are welcome to sit beside your child to see what is expected and talk to the ladies about any questions/concerns you may have after the screening.
I am excited at the past improvements that our students have made and the fact that it is all free of charge is a huge bonus.
Children who are enrolled in our program will automatically get the information of when these screenings will take place and the age requirements. Generally our screenings take place for our current students in May or June and then for new enrollments in Aug or Sept.

What The Parents Say
“We chose to enrol our newly 2 year old in the 2 year old program. He was born in the height of the pandemic and we were noticing some delays in his speech and socialization. Over the last 7 months our son has made huge strides in development and how he connects with his peers and adults. We could not be happier with his progress. It fills us with joy seeing his excitement for school and having him share with us everything he is learning.”
— Locke Family
“We were referred to King’s Kids Preschool through a friend. The structure was exactly what my child needed! My child has thrived at King’s Kids. She has learned so many skills & created great relationships. The transportation option offered is amazing for working moms like me. We are excited for her little sister to attend next year!”
— Suzy Park
“We feel so fortunate to have our son’s first 2 teachers as his first mentors. He loves them! Both Ms Corlene and Ms Vicki! And he talks about them often! He has learned so much this year; we are grateful beyond words. Watching him grow into a very kind little man!”
